About Us

Meet Sam, Kelli, Madie & Allie, Owners of Waggin Tails Ranch Wedding and Event Venue

In 2015, our passion for the ranch life and our love for animals led us to find this beautiful 27.7-acre ranch hiding in the heart of Wylie, Texas. Over time, our family built our forever home, homesteaded with gardens of vegetables, and grew our fur baby family of horses, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs.

We found that many of our family members, neighbors, friends, and their friends enjoyed coming out to the ranch to love on the animals and ride the horses. Eventually they all started asking for summer parties, birthday parties, retirement parties, life celebrations, and even requests for weddings. After about 10 years of hosting these events, we decided our community needs us and it was clear that we needed to open an event center to serve others. The same joy we found in this beautiful ranch, we truly wanted to share with others. That's when the idea of Waggin Tails Ranch Texas LLC Wedding & Event Venue was born.

The Old Country Barn

Nestled in the hidden acres of the Muddy Creek Reservoir in Wylie Texas, Waggin Tails Ranch is a 27.7-acre property boasting of rustic charm, surrounded by serene ranch land, breathtaking sunsets, beautiful ponds, and only the sound of nature, that will create wedding memories of a lifetime. Our climate-controlled barn offers 4900 square feet of rustic charm, making it the perfect setting for an indoor wedding, intimate dinner or a cozy indoor reception. Finished with warm wood interiors and ambient lighting, The Old Country Barn blends rustic elegance with modern comfort.

Private Bride and Groom Suites

Within the Old Country Barn, we've created two separate, fully equipped suites to make your wedding day preparations private, comfortable, and stress-free. The Bride's Suite and the Groom's Suite offer high-speed internet, large mirrors, and a mini fridge to keep drinks and snacks close by for you and your wedding party. The Bride's Suite is a fashionable area with plush furniture, full length mirrors, great lighting for touching up makeup, a private bathroom, and that perfect space to hang the bridal gown until your ready to put it on. It's the absolute best place to share laughs and make great memories with the bridesmaids. The Groom's Suite is the perfect man cave for suiting up your groomsmen, playing shuffleboard, and a play station 5 for some fun gaming before the big event. These private spaces are perfect for creating unforgettable moments before you walk down the aisle.

The Cocktail Porch

The celebration begins on The Cocktail Porch of The Old Country Barn. This covered 1200 square feet are allows plenty of rustic space for your guests to mingle before the big event. The kitchen and the bar both open to this area allowing for easy serving of appetizers and drinks to help your guests feel right at home as they take in the gorgeous views of the ranch and have the opportunity to interact with the horses.

Love Island

Cross the bridge to Love Island, and exchange your vows on our serene pond ceremony area, surrounded by the natural beauty of ranch land and the gorgeous views of the Muddy Creek Reservoir. A horse drawn carriage will take you and your guests from the event center to the water's edge, where breathtaking views set the stage for your special day.

The Old Pecan Tree and More

Come take a tour of the property and pick out that special spot that will set the picturesque that you are looking for on your special day. We can set up arches and pillars, drape cloths through the trees, and be creative with you to make your chosen area perfect.

HORSE BOARDING AT WAGGIN TAILS RANCH - TEXAS

BOARDING

At WT Ranch, we strive to provide excellent service to our riders and horse owners. Our family and staff are committed to providing the safest and highest quality of care. With on-site management of day to day operations, we build a close connection with each horse allowing us to identify early warning signs of equine distress, and to manage our barn smoothly to ensure the most optimal living quarters for these beauties. You will have 24/7 access to your horse. Security gated for you and your horses protection. Full care or Self care options available. Negative Coggins and good health is required for all horses entering the premise.

Full Care Boarding $450.00 / month

Ferrier and Horse Dentist onsite once per Quarter

FEED & HAY AVAILABLE AT WT RANCH

At WT Ranch we offer Full Care boarding with hay, feed, and water service. We keep two round bales accessible to the horses at all times, and provide grain twice daily. Automatic water troughs are available in multiple areas for the horses to access. After all meals the horses are turned out to the pastures and the stalls are cleaned. We can make special arrangements for any custom items including supplements. Full access is provided for the square pen and the horse wash areas.

SPECIAL EVENTS & PARTIES

We do all kinds of parties from birthdays, quinceanera's, engagements, retirements, and life celebrations.

INDOOR & OUTDOOR PARTIES

Come on down to the farm for a party that will be remembered forever. Our parties have exciting activities like horseback riding, swimming, fishing, hayrides, bouncy houses, cornhole, Jenga, live bands and good old farm fun games to play. You can visit our "Lil Bit O' Heaven" pasture with small animals for petting, including a rabbit habitat and a chicken house with a chandelier. Feed our fur babies treats and experience collecting colorful eggs from our chicken house. Horseback rides, grooming, and education available. Give us a call to discuss what's happening on the farm, and what the kids will enjoy most!

SUMMER CAMP 2025

WT Ranch would like your child to be part of an exciting and fun educational experience this summer! Spring Camp at Waggin Tails Ranch offers a week that includes lessons in Natural Horsemanship, homesteading and gardening, and fun with horse crafts. Allow your child to build confidence, learn respect, and experience the love that only horses can bring into your child's life. Please call for a spring camp schedule or follow us on Facebook. Download a Camp Registration/Liability form which is required for participation. Camp is from 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. On each Friday, we will hold a horse show from 3 pm to 5 pm, so parents can come watch their children ride and share in their accomplishments! Campers need to have breakfast before arrival and bring their lunch each day with plenty of water.

$350 per camper per week

GROUP FIELD TRIPS

We welcome all types of groups for field trips: local community schools, home schools, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Church groups, and others. The Field Trips are a 1.5 hour trip. Enjoy feeding the animals treats (bring apples, carrots, and bread). Learn about all the animals and how we groom them, feed them, and care for them. Learn about gardening and growing vegetables, nuts and fruits. Liability forms needed for all visitors.

$200 per group of ten.

Payment due at registration.
